We got a new car! 🚗✨

And while I’m SO excited and grateful about the car itself, what feels even more meaningful is what this experience has taught me about expansion, trust, and being supported in ways I could never have planned.

My husband Max and I shared a 1999 Nissan Maxima for years.

When we first got that car, it felt expansive. It was Max’s first car in LA! And it completely changed our experience of the city.

It was there as I transitioned from working at Target into building PranaFlo. It carried us through different seasons, different jobs, and so many ordinary moments that became part of our life together.

But over the past year, it was asking us to trust.

It started with a major repair on the brakes. It was the first of several unexpected expenses. We handled it, but I remember the weight of that bill.

So I prayed and gave the burden to God, simply asking: Please help us pay this bill.

A few days later, an older gentleman who resembled my husband's grandfather backed into our car in a parking lot. It was a minor accident. No one was hurt. But the insurance payout ended up being almost exactly what we needed to cover the repair!

Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Then, a couple of months ago, I was on the way to guide corporate sound baths when the car broke down on the side of the freeway.

And somehow, even that experience felt strangely supportive.

  • Minutes before, I had been listening to abundance affirmations.

  • The tow company would only take me seven miles, and my brother’s house happened to be six miles away.

  • My sister-in-law works from home, so I was able to borrow her car.

  • Sure, I missed the first sound bath, but it ended up getting rescheduled to a later time that day.

So it all worked out! I was in awe. How can something so stressful happen in such a harmonious way?

And then, most recently, the car gave us its final lesson. (I guess third time’s the charm!)

I was driving home from another corporate yoga class when the car started shaking and smelling strongly of gas. Thankfully, I was able to get somewhere safe, and once again, people stopped to check on me and offer help.

I had it towed and after the diagnostic, the cost of the repairs forced us to consider our options.

Do we continue investing in this older car and trust it will keep going, especially with these El Niño warnings?

OR do we allow ourselves to step into something newer and safer, even though it means taking on another monthly expense?

Neither option felt completely comfortable.

So I asked for a very specific sign. After all, life is a conversation.

Show me a dragonfly if we're meant to let go of the old car. If not, show me a black spider and stop us at all costs.

As we started our search, we were led to supportive people.

Our friend went through a similar situation with his car a few months earlier, so he connected us with someone who could help and it made all the difference!

You know that feeling when you just know it’s time to let go of something?

That’s how I felt. It was as if my intuition was pushing me to leap, even though part of me was nervous about taking on something bigger financially.

After running the numbers, we made our decision.

And the very next day, as I was waiting at the bus stop, a beautiful dragonfly passed by.

What if life is asking me to trust that I am capable of holding more before I have evidence of exactly how it will all come together?

Sometimes expansion doesn't arrive looking like abundance.

It can look like an unexpected bill.

A decision you weren't planning to make yet.

A door opening before you feel completely ready to walk through it.

And maybe the invitation isn't to have every answer before we move forward.

Maybe it's to take a leap of faith.

Because looking back at this 1999 Nissan, I realize it expanded our life in ways I couldn't have understood when we first got it. And now, perhaps its final gift to us was something less tangible:

To expand my trust.

I can't tell you exactly where every dollar of this next chapter will come from. But I can tell you that again and again, I've experienced support arriving from places I couldn't have orchestrated myself.

And now, we received our new car on the night of the Emmy's. Which honestly feels a little symbolic. 😂

If this experience taught me anything, it’s that there is always more support, more possibility, more provision, and more life available than the mind can account for.

😮‍💨 Deep Mental Relief

After a long day of problem solving, constant decisions and deep focus, this week’s gentle breathwork meditation is here to help you unwind and rest.

🪷 Say it aloud with me

❝

I choose to take a leap of faith.

Expansion doesn't always mean that we feel ready. So if life is asking you to stretch right now, before you feel completely prepared... trust that you are supported as you grow.

Have a wonderful week!
